Tri-Star Karate: Environmental, Health and Safety, Health Policy
(Note: Environmental pertains to our schools cleanliness, organization, and its surroundings)
It is the policy of Tri-Star Karate, Inc. to train all our students in the essence and spirit of karate.

It is the policy of Tri-Star Karate, Inc. to do our very best in the instruction of the Art of Karate/Self-Defense
through the discipline and structure of our traditional Martial Arts system.
It is the policy of Tri-Star Karate, Inc. to help our students to be their best and to treat
our students with fairness, respect, honor, and consideration.
It is the policy of Tri-Star Karate, Inc. to manage our school, Karate classes,
and events in a safe and responsible manner.
Karate training is about training your mind, body, and spirit. There are some things you can only get
by training and its throught this evolutionary cultivation that ensures success.
1. The health, Safey and self-protection of our students and family members at Tri-Star Karate is our highest priority.
No class or event will be performed in a knowingly unsafe or harmful manner. It's however the responsibilty of the
students and parents to make sure the rules of the dojo are followed, and the proper equipment and gear recommended
to them by TSK for safe usage are being used. Students may not be able to participate in any class or event, if not followed.
2. We believe that incidents, injuries and most illnesses are preventable. We utilize a thorough and disciplined
Health and Safety mind set. We encourage all students and family members through our daily talks and lessons
to practice safe side awareness on all safety and health issues.
3. Tri-Star Karate staff and Instructors are responsible for interating these Karate, EH & S principles
into daily classes and activities, and for diligently responding to studetn and family concerns.
4. Each student is responsible for maintaining an awareness of safe practices and preventing conditions that may
result in an unsafe situation or harm others and the environment while at the dojo or at any TSK event. It is the responsibility
of each student to promptly notify the staff of any unsafe conditions. We embrace and facilitate student, family and employee involvement, implementation and continuous improvment of these items.
5. Each Student is responsible #2 for getting to all theri classes, and to learn all their material as instructed.
6. Tri-Star Karate is committed to a positive and a "Yes I can" attitude.
7. We utilize objectives and targets in our management system for documenting, implementing and
maintaining our Karate Skills, EH & S issues.
8. We are committed to educating and training our students through the distrubution of their rank requirements,
literature and relevant communications in all classes, as well as our cork boards and web site.
It's however, up to the studetns and parents to retrieve this information.
9. We are committed #2 to responding to emergencies to prevent or minimize the harm to
people and the environment. Our Instructors are First Aid Certified.
10. We will conduct all classes/events in compliance with the highest respect and honor of the Martial Arts and integrity.
11. We will conduct all classes/event #2 in a professional and well supervised manor.
12. We will work to continually improve our EH&S performance by incorporationg new ideas,
exercised and thoughts into all of our decisions.
13. Tri-Star Karate is committed in making sure that our school is well cleaned, well organized and equipped.
14. We encourage student and family feedback on any issues of concern, and we will diligently
respond to all concerns at a reasonable time.
